The eight Polar Law Symposium will be held in Alaska, September 23-26, 2015.The call for abstract invites participants to consider how polarscience and scholarship can combine with thepractice of law, broadly understood, to strengthenArctic Peoples and Places. How can lawyers andlegal scholars interact with scientists andacademics from other disciplines to the benefit ofthe Arctic? Can models of cooperation betweenscientists, scholars and lawyers from othergeographic areas be adapted for the Arctic? Whatcan lawyers and academics from all disciplinescontribute to each other's understanding on issuesof common concern?
